It should be interesting to see George Bush at his defensive press conference this morning. We know he doesn't read newspapers, but maybe someone has told his highness that the nation is seriously annoyed over his latest outrage.
To paraphrase Bob Herbert, King George thinks he can spy on Americans all he wants to, cuz he don't need no stinking warrants.
The Huffington Post has a very impressive list of brutal editorials that condemn the pResident who thinks he is King:
Kansas City Star: “The Struggle With Foreign Enemies Does Not Simply Give Him A Blank Check”
Denver Post: Adm. Has Lost “Balance Between Essential Anti-Terrorism Tools And Encroachment On Liberties”
LA Times: “Stunning,” “One Of The More Egregious Cases Of Governmental Overreach”
Wash. Post: “The Tools Of Foreign Intelligence Are Not Consistent With A Democratic Society”
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: “Unacceptable Actions Of A Police State”
St. Petersburg Times: “So Dangerously Ill-Conceived And Contrary To This Nation's Guiding Principles”
NY Times: Bush “Secretly And Recklessly Expanded The Govt.'s Powers In Dangerous And Unnecessary Ways”
It looks like King George is in real trouble this time. Wonder if the Boy King will permit reporters to actually question him at his press conference? Let's hope Bushie has had his morning meds, otherwise he is going to be really pissed at those pesky reporters.
