Stand With Cindy Sheehan in Nashville

Nashville is joining the long list of communities that are Standing with Cindy Sheehan. Sheehan has been called the Rosa Parks of the anti-war movement.

The following comes from an email alert via the Nashville Peace & Justice Center:

CALL AN END TO WAR ON IRAQ
Candlight Vigil

WHERE: NASHVILLE, CENTENNIAL PARK NEAR THE PARTHENON
WHEN: 7:30PM, WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17, 2005
WHO: YOU & HUNDREDS OF OTHERS

Nashville resident Daniel Nelson has decided to join the ranks with Mother of slain US Soldier, Cindy Sheehan, by organizing a NASHVILLE Candlelight Vigil through Moveon.org.

If you choose, the organizers request that you bring patriotic symbols, American Flags, etc and show that American residents Support the Troops, so let’s Bring Them Home. These are our sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers. The Administration might want this war but the American People do not.
