Dems Buy Time on Bolton Confirmation

Rhode Island Senator may nix Bolton

Woo-hoo! The Dems have won some time to sway more votes to their side in the confirmation wranglings of John Bolton, W's very merry un-bassodorial pick for the U.N. post.

Truth Out has it first on my screen.

The AP article outlines how the chess moves went in securing another week to work on a possibly sway-able Senate Foreign Relations Committee member, Sen. Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island.

Objections to Bolton's confirmation come from numerous sources including descriptions that use such colorful adjectives as "abusive" and "evasive".

This big, bad bully has previously been accused of harassing folks who don't agree with him, including some rather vocal U.S. officials.

The committee stacks up at 10 - 8 in favor of the Rethuglicans, so one vote could prove crucial to blocking Bolton's path to the U.N.
