Finally A Woman Moderates Presidential Debate, But Only Men Can Ask Questions

For the first time in 2 decades, an actual woman - Candy Crowley - will host one of the 3 presidential debates. Amazingly, the men will give one of them up! But don't get too excited, the one the men are giving up is the town hall debate, the debate where the audience, not the female moderator, asks the questions!  Predictable. Yeah. Just your everyday ordinary war on women. F*cking disgusting:

Last week, high-level women in the television news industry, who spoke only on condition of anonymity, wondered whether women would be selected to moderate the two traditional debates. They noted that those assignments have the highest prestige and authority. And on Monday, those assignments went to Mr. Lehrer and Mr. Schieffer, longtime moderators.

Oh, but we have more crumbs, a woman will host the less important vice presidential debate.

I suppose we should be grateful that women are allowed anything at all. And thanks for the crumbs are surely due to the petition drive by 3 teen-age girls which resulted in 180,000 signatures and a whole lot of support from women's organizations. The arrogant manly suits on the Commission on Presidential Debates deny that the girls swayed them. They would have us believe that they were going to give crumbs to the women anyway: 

PBS's Jim Lehrer will host the first presidential debate on Oct. 3 in Denver, Colo. CNN's Candy Crowley will host the second, town-hall debate on October 16 in Hempstead, N.Y. CBS's Bob Schieffer will host the third debate on Oct. 22 in Boca Raton, Fla. ABC's Martha Raddatz will host the vice presidential debate on Oct. 11 in Danville, Ky.
