The threat of a global pandemic persuaded
obstructionist Republicans to cease ranting about Kathleen Sebelius' pro choice position long enough to take a vote.
The pro choice Health and Human Services Secretary was confirmed by a vote of 65-31.
Tennessee's
anti-choice Republican duo voted nay.
Sebelius won just 8 Republican votes (plus the newly Democratic Specter). The 8 are: Kit Bond, Sam Brownback, Susan Collins, Judd Gregg, Dick Lugar, Pat Roberts, Olympia Snowe and George Voinovich (Sen. Sessions did not vote).
