Another MSNBC Sexist (David Shuster) Gets His Own Show

David "Pimped Out" Shuster will replace David Gregory as host of MSNBC's 6pm political show: '1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.' Shuster is most famous for getting his MSNBC ass suspended for suggesting on the air that Chelsea Clinton was being "pimped out." Shuster meant to say that Chelsea was campaigning for her mom.

And speaking of David Gregory, his installation on Meet the Press is just what you'd expect from a network infamous for unbridled sexist language and behavior.

Margot Friedman over at the Women's Media Center reminds us that there are plenty of women qualified to host Meet the Press. But putting a woman on the show would seriously interfere with that 1950s theme. Like Tucker Carlson would say, the fear of castration would be so great that all the male guests would have to cross their legs, poor babies.

NBC's Meet the Press is the Sunday morning political talk show which "has the least diversity of them all. . Three out of four guests on 'Meet the Press' are white males."

In other words, less than one out of four Meet the Press guests are women. No fear of castration at NBC. Heh.
