Obama Is No Team Player: Says McCain Would be Better than Bush
I swear there are days when the words out of Obama’s mouth lead me to believe that the presidential wannabe could have been hand-picked to bring down the Democratic Party by no one other than Karl Rove himself. Here’s yet more evidence that Barack Obama no team player:
You have a real choice in this election. Either Democrat would be better than John McCain," Obama said to cheers from a rowdy crowd in central Pennsylvania. Then he said: "And all three of us would be better than George Bush."
The comment threatened to undercut Obama's efforts — and those of the entire Democratic Party — to portray the GOP presidential nominee-in-waiting as nothing more than an extension of Bush's unpopular tenure. At the very least, it provides fodder Republicans can use to prop up McCain.
Before you go all wacko on me Obamabots, please note that I said Barack Obama 'could have been' hand-picked by Karl Rove for the mission of bringing down the Democratic Party.
Obama is outspending Hillary 3-1. In the past two months, he's raised almost 100 million. Yet, he is barely hanging on to a minuscule lead. With half the Democrats rooting for Hillary, you have to wonder if Republicans aren’t having a little fun with us by funding the candidate they think they can beat. Perhaps the Obama campaign strategy of imploring Republicans to defeat Hillary Clinton by becoming Democrats for a Day has encouraged some to take it a step further by reaching into their wallets.
Republicans would do anything to keep the Clintons from returning to the White House. And no one who calls himself a Democrat has done a finer job of smearing Hillary and Bill Clinton with the vilest Republican propaganda than has Barack Obama. How much would Republicans pay for that service? And is the idea that Republicans are not surreptitiously messing with the Democratic primary even feasible?
