The Japanese TV viewing public got more than it expected when dancers performing in a New Year's Eve broadcast went topless en masse.
The performance appeared quite standard initially. But at about the song's two minute mark, most of the dancers, both male and female, began to rapidly disrobe until they were topless. Many viewers complained at what they saw as a flagrantly improper display of nudity, prompting NHK TV to apologize, according to a Reuters report on the incident.
