Corker's Hometown Police Endorse Ford

In Corker's home town of Chattanooga - where the wannabe Frist replacement was once Mayor Corker - the local police have snubbed their former mayor by endorsing Harold Ford (D).

The latest DSCC poll has Ford beating Corker by 7 points! That's 51% - 44%.

Probably the Chattanooga police don't like Bush rubber stamps anymore than the rest of us. Bush has a 35% approval rate in Tennessee.

See Corker caught flip-flopping on Iraq here.

And a new SurveyUSA poll finds Ford and Corker to be "essentially tied."

Meanwhile the Republican National Committee is investing heavily in the Corker campaign. Tennessee is one of three states targetted by the Dark Side as crucial if the GOP is to maintain its oppressive control of the U.S. Senate.
