Bredesen to Speak on Health Care Reform (Axe) at National Press Club Friday

The Governor who campaigned on the promise to 'fix' the state's expanded Medicaid program, TennCare, will speak on health care reform at the National Press Club later this week.

The Governor is not going to be happy if protesters are still occupying his office when he gives his speech in Washington D. C. on Friday morning.

Speeches at the National Press Club are followed by questions from the national media.

Doubtless, the Governor is worried about the potential for national media coverage of the ongoing occupation of his office by sick and disabled protesters. Perhaps this explains the increasingly stressed demeanor of the Governor in the local tv news coverage.

Unless the Governor finds a way to run the protesters out of his office before his trip to Washington D.C. , it seems certain that the national media will pick up the story.

The Governor's speech before the national press is scheduled to occur on 5th day of the TennCare Protest at the Capitol, or Occupation Day #5.
