Biden Wins! Destroys Ryan's 'Malarkey': VP Debate (Round-Up)

I admit it. It was sheer joy to watch Joe Biden wipe the floor with liar Paul Ryan. Despite doing his best to memorize the answers, Ryan was clearly in way over his head.

And Joe Biden had fun! (So did I.) The word of the day is: Malarkey!

Now it's up to Obama to keep up with Joe's momentum. Next debate: Tuesday!

Thank Joe Biden here for winning the debate and putting liar Paul Ryan in his place.

Biden not only won over the audience, but got under his opponent’s skin. . by the end of the evening, Joltin’ Joe had done real damage to his opponent.. n fact, as the 90 minutes flew by..Ryan began looking younger and younger. And not in a good way.

Josh Marshall: Biden said it all. And for Democrats around the country that was extremely important. For reasons that are complicated and juvenile, during his vice presidency a caricature has emerged of Biden as some sort of Crazy Irish Uncle, gaffetastic and corny, a risible figure. That left people unprepared for what they saw tonight. Ryan was unprepared too. Biden’s actually one of sharpest guys in Washington and has been for decades.

Andrew Sullivan: So this was a solid win for Biden, I'd say; as well as a competent performance by Ryan. The star? Raddatz - the woman the far right just tried to intimidate. She was tough on both, controlled the debate, and knew her shit cold.
