Snow: 100 Percent Chance in Nashville

After last summer's bizarre weather -- when the July temperature here in Nashville averaged somewhere in the 70s instead of the usual 90s -- it looks like we are also in for a strange winter.

In Nashville, snow is strange and exciting weather. It has been bizarrely bone chilling cold for the past week and the forecast for Thursday is 100 percent chance of snow. That's for 1 to 3 inches, more than enough to shut this town down. Assuming the forecast is correct, if we're getting snow in Tennessee, it must be about to blanket half the nation!

Schools will be closed and good luck finding any bread, milk or eggs at the supermarket tonight.

I used to live in Newfoundland, Canada (see photo) where snow was normal and kids walked to school in full fledged blizzards. I actually miss the beauty of it. Anyway, happy snow day everyone! I hope you stay warm and safe.
