Jeremiah Wright Denies Plans for October Surprise
The claim that Reverend Jeremiah Wright plans to publish an October surprise in book form is not true according to Roland Martin.
A New York magazine cover story reports otherwise:
“In October, Obama’s former pastor, Wright, will publish a new book and hit the road to promote it.”
According to Martin, Jeremiah Wright's daughter has been assured by her father that there is no truth to the story and when Wright returns to the country, he will tell the press so himself:
Rumors about a pre-election book by Wright have been surfacing for the last few months, and intensified since the New York article. It even has caused a stir among Obama supporters, who were also chasing down the rumor to see if there was any legitimacy to it. I even got calls from executives in the publishing world inquiring as to whether the story is true. Jeri Wright says when her dad returns to another part of Ghana, he will issue a formal response to the New York article reiterating that what they reported is false.
Perhaps Roland Martin feels all better now, but anyone who witnessed Jeremiah Wright's performance at the National Press Club may be wise to wait and see.
