Jesse Jackson didn't know the microphone was on when he whispered about his desire to castrate Barack Obama: "See, Barack's been talking down to black people ... I want to cut his nuts off." Wow. I had no idea how starved I was for a laugh until I heard this. Want another laugh? As I write, the CNN Obama panel is arguing that "this helps Barack Obama." Good freaking grief! Thanks CNN for giving us some ideas of ways we can help Barack Obama. You can't make this stuff up.
Another Obama surrogate on CNN argued that Jesse Jackson's comments were taken out of context. Oh, yeah? Exactly how do you take the wish to castrate someone out of context? Jackson's whispered castration wish is caught in the first video clip below. In the second clip, Obama campaign co-chair Jesse Jackson Jr. slams his dad for the offensive rhetoric. You remember Jesee Jackson, Jr., the offensive jerk who said that Hillary Rodham Clinton cried about her appearance.
