Trojan Ad: Pigs Evolve with Condoms - The Ad Rejected by Fox & CBS

Fox and CBS find the Trojan ad below to be inappropriate for their sensitive viewers. Like anyone would ever believe that men in bars can be pigs!

Fox says it can't air this ad because: "Contraceptive advertising must stress health-related uses rather than the prevention of pregnancy."

CBS says: "[W]hile we understand and appreciate the humor of this creative, we do not find it appropriate for our network even with late-night-only restrictions."

Media critic, Mark Crispin Miller says: "I mean, let’s get real here. Fox and CBS and all of them are in the business of nonstop soft porn, but God forbid we should use a condom in the pursuit of sexual pleasure."

You'd have to live in a cave to believe that CBS and Fox object to this ad because it is racy.

That leaves five possibilities:

1) Fox and CBS are abstinence freaks. Condoms may prevent disease, but according to the Bush Administration, condoms do not prevent pregnancy.

2) The very idea of preventing pregnancy is morally and religiously offensive.

3) The idea that going to bars can lead to sex is morally and religiously offensive. And why isn't this ad about Viagra?

4) The idea that men in bars can be pigs is simply more than Fox and CBS can bear. And where the hell is the male gaze in this ad anyway? Trojan has been hijacked by the Femnazis and somebody has to stop them!

5) Evolve is a liberal word, and there ain't no such thing as evolution, dammit.
