The Republican Party may want to sit this one out. For some reason, duh, no one wants to give them money. Meanwhile the Democrats are kicking ass. "The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee "raised $17.6 million from April through June, according to figures to be filed with the Federal Election Commission," reports the New York Times.
In the same period, the National Republican Senatorial Committee raised a paltry $8.6 million, roughly half as much as the Democrats collected.
One wonders why the Republicans don't just sit this one out.
