Media Matters has an informative piece on the Nashville-based group that attacked Al Gore -- the right-wing anti-environmental Tennessee Center for Policy Research (TCPR).
Add that to the info cited in the posts below, and there is no reason why the local media cannot finally begin to properly identify the Nashville-based TCPR as the far-right group it is, instead of the "independent" and "non-partisan" group it claims to be.
But don't expect your red-state media to do this without your insistence.
