Plamegate Leads to pResident

Our deceitful lying spying pResident behind the Plamegate leak?

My gawd!!! Who could have thought it?!!?

Raw Story:

A former White House aide under indictment for obstructing a leak probe, I. Lewis Libby, testified to a grand jury that he gave information from a closely-guarded "National Intelligence Estimate" on Iraq to a New York Times reporter in 2003 with the specific permission of President Bush, according to a new court filing from the special prosecutor in the case, THE NEW YORK SUN reports Thursday. (sorry, no link, the NY Sun is down, or slammed.)

"The court papers from the prosecutor, Patrick Fitzgerald, do not suggest that Mr. Bush violated any law or rule. However, the new disclosure could be awkward for the president because it places him, for the first time, directly in a chain of events that led to a meeting where prosecutors contend the identity of a CIA employee, Valerie Plame, was provided to a reporter."

What did our lying spying pResident say about the CIA leak back in 2003?

"Listen, I know of nobody — I don’t know of anybody in my administration who leaked classified information. If somebody did leak classified information, I’d like to know it, and we’ll take the appropriate action." [9/30/03] -- pResident George W. Bushie

Murray Waas has the detailed version.

I'd so like to summon some righteous outrage, but, yawn, does anyone know how many times Bushie been caught lying?

The Smoking Gun has the filing.

Hat tip to Progressive Daily Beacon.

Georgia10 at dkos has more (via Daou Report ) -- as do Peter Daou and firedoglake.
