Anti & Pro Choicers to Face Off in Nashville: Tiller Memorial vs. “The Pill Kills” Protest

Pro choicers in Nashville are invited to attend a memorial protest in honor of Dr. George Tiller, the abortion provider who was assassinated at his church in Kansas. The Planned Parenthood event is scheduled for June 6.

Anti choicers will be there, since June 6 is their infamous "The Pill Kills" day. Details below are from Planned Parenthood via my inbox:

PPMET is hosting a Memorial Protest on Saturday, June 6th at our Nashville health center. . 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. to honor the life of abortion provider Dr. George Tiller. . The address for our Health Center is 412 Dr. D.B. Todd, Jr. Blvd. - it's the second building in on DB Todd at the intersection of Charlotte and DB Todd (which is also 18th right there). We will have signs, but please feel free to bring your own. You are invited to join us at our Administrative office on Friday, June 5th to make signs with us. .

As an aside, we are expecting anti-choice protesters to be there because June 6th is their "The Pill Kills" day - a nationwide campaign sponsored by American Life League and STOPP - and our Nashville health center is a target. We feel this is a great opportunity for Planned Parenthood supporters to drown out the opposition and constructively, non-violently focus our outrage over Dr. Tiller's killer and those like him who purport to be "pro-life".

This is intended to be a show of support for Planned Parenthood, women's rights, our clients, and a memorial for the memory of the courageous Dr. Tiller, please join us.
We want to affirm to our clients, staff, supporters and the public at large that acts of terrorism will not close our doors, but will instead reinforce our commitment to providing access to our abortion and family planning services.
